About…

I’ve been practicing bodywork an energy work as long as I can remember - my mom and I practiced with each other throughout my childhood and set a solid foundation for what nurturing, healing touch is. I feel a deep belief in the physiological process of birth being one that is distorted when it begins with and assumes the necessity of ongoing medical intervention. I am practiced in supporting birthing people and families as they feel into what thresholds of birth, death, and life-role transition mean to them intellectually, spiritually, physically as well as navigating the experiential in systems that don’t often hold space for these important questions. “We are all just walking each other home…”, and I’m honored to make my life’s work revolve around providing heart-mind-body-spirit support to others as they walk through significant thresholds.

I have studied bodywork around the world, and currently reside in Northeast Minneapolis with my loving life partner Lukas. I am a caretaker for horses Leonard and Tibby as they navigate the health conditions of their golden years with loving, respectfully and emotionally-based connection. I am a student of herbalism, and am involved in cultivating a loving relationship with my local ecosystem.

I believe all deserve dignity and care and offer sliding scale to those with financial need. I have a commitment to ongoing education, and specifically to upholding principles of birth justice along the lines of racial, class, gender, and sexual identity. I strive to be accountable to this commitment.

  • I use pillows, bolsters, and special tables and techniques to make massage safe for pregnancy and postpartum. I’m happy to address any specific questions you have and you’re welcome to email with questions!

  • I provide emotional rapport and connection build over a series of appointments - often integrated with prenatal massage. As the midwife, doctor, and staff will be focused on your medical wellbeing, your partner will be having their own emotional experience, and familial support can bring lifetimes of complexity it can be valuable to have someone fully devoted to your emotional support and presence. I am also here to support your partner and help them step into the roles you need most.

Physical support includes prenatal and early labor massage, ongoing bodywork and energy work as requested, positional guidance, and comfort measures that help your family birth team take on the roles that you feel most supported by.

Spiritual support includes helping you identify mythological, cultural, and religious stories and knowledge of birth and combine them with your own and familial birth stories to arrive at your own sacred vision for your birth. I will help you make sure that vision is respected and centered in whatever birth environment you choose.

Intellectual support looks like helping you identify resources and evidence-based studies that help you gain insight into decision points you may be faced with.
